Since retiring from full time chemistry Dr. Martin Grayson is a portfolio
musician doing composing, teaching, publishing, playing and directing, mostly
early music as well as his own compositions. The early music is published by
Alfredston Music and the original compositions and arrangements by Sibelius
Music and the International Music Score Library Project.
He has interests in composing for traditional classical ensembles such as
string quartet, orchestra and classical guitar but also writes modern music for
lutes, recorders and viols. He won the 2007 Viola da Gamba Society of
